Over his 30-year operating career, Stuart has helped develop major new markets including: voice assistants and virtual caregivers based on proactive-voice, NLP/NLU and AI/ML (eg, LifePod), speech recognition and synthesis (eg, SpeechWorks, now Nuance), both B2B and B2C mobile and online apps and services (eg, Gemvara and Sidekicks), video/voice content search (eg, Ramp), biometrics (eg, Porticus),
identity management (eg, Core Security), natural antimicrobials (eg, Sciessent) and clean-tech solutions (eg, Nexamp).
Consultant & Advisor
Since 2004, Stuart has served as an independent consultant to venture funds and as CEO advisor/coach to market innovators specializing in: sales growth and competitive strategies; product/service innovation; culture and team building; change management; and
maximizing investor returns through M&A and exits.

In these varied capacities, Stuart has led or helped lead the founding, financing, purchase or sale of over 25 private and public companies – from bootstrapped startups to industry leaders – representing investments of over $250M in private equity and over $500M in public equity.
An engaging public speaker, Stuart has led classes at the Yale School of Management, Northeastern University and the Harvard Business School. He was recognized as one of the Top Ten Leaders in Speech in 2000-2003, was a finalist for the E&Y Entrepreneur of the Year in 2002 and a World Economic Forum Technology Pioneer in 2003.
Publications & Governance
Stuart co-authored a patent for a Guided Personal Companion designed to assist autistic children.
He also co-authored Voice Technology in Healthcare: Leveraging Voice to Enhance Patient and Provider Experiences.

He currently serves on the Foundation Board of the Dimock Community Health Center.
Education
Stuart holds a BA in English and American Literature from Harvard College and
a Master’s in Public and Private Management (MPPM) from the Yale School of Management.
